3D model of Glenn Jeffrey's design.

Note that this is a draft and may contain inaccuracies.

A series of views of a method for getting the ship on stage - for discussion.

[Left] The lower stage level (upper levels and stairs not shown) with tracks up stage and the ship (frame only shown)in the down position. The stage floor is shown in the up position.

[Left] There are four hinged panels in the stage (see detail) which are supported by hinged frames. These frames are pushed (manually) to the off-stage side and the stage panels fold down.

The centre section of the stage collapses (via a winch up stage) almost to the floor, between the tracks for the carriage carrying the ship.

The ship in the down position on its carriage is winched along and up the track. (Frame only shown, ship decoration to be added)

Note the stage weights as counter weights - far more are shown than will actually be required.

The ship in the up position ready for use.

Note: There will be several pins to be inserted to lock everything into position.

The fold down stage panels at either side of the ship site - 8 panels in all to be lowered manually.

Side view of the ship down in the up stage position (can be as far up stage as track and winch will allow)

Shows the track and gradient.

Shows the stage in the up postion with folding legs and pulleys to be winched out to allow the stage to lower.

Shows the stage in the up postion.

Shows the stage side panels and stage-floor in the down position.

The ship down stage on the track, in the lowered position.

The ship in the up position ready for use.
