It looks as if a ship wreck has been lifted from the sea bottom and placed in the restaurant.
All the ribs, beams and boards are boxed from MDF, coated with automobile body filler, which is combed before it dries to simulate rotten timber.
The foyer is very small but provides an air lock during winter and features a merchandise display cabinet, visible through a rotting door.

a "punka-walla"
Remember the old British films set in India, with a swaying canvas blade overhead pulled by an underpaid native outside in the heat?
I built a mult-blade version, suspended between fake ship beams and ribs and "pulled" by a beautifully made mannikin. Thanks Ken. In fact, the motor and gearbox are concealed in one of the overhead beams.
The picture (top left) shows the corner detail. The left hand wall is artworked concrete.
