The sun pours through a grating overhead and moves slowly back and forth across the deck with the slow roll of the ship.
This is achieved by rolling a parabolic mirror around the focal length of a 75w halogen lamp; the light passing through a ship's hold-style grate and casting a moving pattern onto the deck.
Construction is entirely of MDF (fibreboard) with artworked grain by the highly skilled Michael Sladd (below).
