Model proposal

Prepared for Jon Bowling. Construction by Jon & myself.

The illustrations show the metaphor conceived by the HEC (Hydro Electric Corporation) to describe the processes of their Product Delivery Unit.

The model shown is 1800mm wide by 450mm deep by 450mm high at the backboard and stands on a frame of lightweight square-tube steel.

The buildings have rough finished foundations, clear acrylic panels* and gloss-painted posts and panels.
The road is textured and clear finished.
The grass is fine Supergrass (artificial lawn).
The water is clear resin.
The graphics panels, their locations, content and layout were still to be determined when I presented this design. They are shown in the photos below.

The factory features a chute where additional product balls can be seen, and the HEC logo is visible through the front wall.
The toll gate is of gloss painted posts with clear braces and signboard overhead.
Bass Link is designated a clear acrylic bridge.
The weighbridges have gloss painted posts, clear panels and with a checkerplate base.
End users are designated by "cash registers" of clear acrylic on either side of the water. The "roof" and face show a pattern of coloured but otherwise unmarked buttons and artworked bar graphs and digits. The overhead customer panel shows artworked bar graphs. Several product balls are visible inside the building.

*NOTE: Depending on viewing angle, the computer sometimes renders clear acrylic as grey - please consult other illustrations.
