Subject: Email from your website - Splurge gun MkIV
Hi Bob
Thanks for a most useful site. I have spent the last few weeks developing the MkIV splurge gun based on Paul Young's design. I thought it was the MkIII but Sandy and Jim beat me to it!
Our school is Mile Oak Primary in Brighton, England. We used the "Blizzard" foam that Paul used and it was all very successful. We got through a lot of foam!
I have drawn up the design and put everything into a PDF file. You are welcome to publicise it on your site.

Thanks once again for the inspiration and ideas!
Regards

Hi Gary
Terrific to receive your email and excellent documentation. I'm astonished at the response I've had from my page over the years. I will certainly insert a link and such to you on my site, and in fact you inspire me to set up a blog...... I get a lot (every 4-5 weeks which seems like quite a lot to me) of queries which I never hear any more about...
Do you have any production shots I can post?
Thanks for your input
Bob

Hi Bob
I sometimes get queries about other things I have designed and put on the web (mainly electronics) and usually it all goes quiet after I answer the question and I wonder what happened.

A blog sounds like a good idea. I'm sure the MkIV isn't the pinnacle of Splurge Gun design :o), so it will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
Attached is an action shot from the production. It is also included
at the end of the PDF.

We have found that the gun barrel starts off a very tight fit in the
body, but after a while the foam compresses and it gets a bit loose.
I feel a mod' coming on to add a couple of screws, just to keep
everything secure.

Now I can get back to my normal life and wonder what the director
will want for next year's production... (We've already done a gold
chariot for "Joseph".)

Cheers
Gary

*Sorry folks ... no blog, at least for the moment though I will continue to post anything sent to me... Bob
